When you need extra grip on a slippery step, flagstone or similar then Surefoot Anti Slip Self Adhesive Treads will do the trick.

These treads are water resistant and will stick to most non-porous surfaces, such as varnished wood. They are suitable for use in and outdoors. Customers tell us they use them in very diverse settings - from cellars to attics, even on boats where slipping could be very dangerous, of course.

If you are planning to use these on a step or flagstone that is damaged then we recommend that you treat with Permafix Concrete Repair and level off prior to fitting. However, if the steps are merely worn by years of use then don't worry, as the treads can be snugly fitted into the contours as they are very flexible.

Apart from that they can be used without any prior preparation beyond making sure the surface to which you are are fixing them to is clean, dry and free from loose materials and dirt, it really is that simple.

The dimension of each tread is 600mm (23.6") x 150mm (5.9") They are available in a smart black colour.

Prepare It
The surface that you are sticking the treads to should be clean, dry and free from dirt.

Apply It
Firstly, allow 10mm between the edge of the step and the tread to avoid undue wear. Then peel back about 50mm of the backing tape to show the adhesive underneath. The trick is to keep peeling back a little of the backing tape as you lay the treads. Firm the treads into place with either hand or foot.

If you make mistake, don’t worry, the treads can be moved into place as they take a while to set. In fact, they are not fully set for 24 hours and in a hazardous area we recommend that you don’t walk on them until they are fully set.
