Description
Stamp on damp. It is a nuisance, smells bad, looks bad, and can cause health problems. If that wasn't bad enough, damp can adversely affect the value of your property.

So, if damp is a problem, in a basement for example, then you need a versatile product to treat the damp. This is where Damp Stop 3 in 1 Damp Treatment is perfect.

It paints, damp proofs and is an effective fungicidal paint that blocks mould. Damp Stop 3 in 1 Damp Treatment resists up to 2 bars of water pressure, which is twice the strength of latex waterproofers.

Paint it directly onto brick, bare masonry, plaster or concrete, wherever there is dampness.

Trade Secret
Here's a tip for treating a damp wall. If you have a damp patch on an outside facing wall then check that nothing touching the wall is higher than the damp course.Your damp course is a thin horizontal layer of water resistant material laid near to the ground between the bricks; it stops moisture from rising up through the permeable brickwork. Sometimes a flower bed, for example, gets raised above the damp course and so moisture can penetrate the brick and appear as a damp patch inside your house. Damp courses can also fail if your home is prone to movement. Treating the offending patch with Damp Stop will block the damp, but you will need to ensure your damp course is doing its job to stop dampness reappearing.

Preparation & Application
Prepare It

Unpainted Masonry
The surface must be at least 30 days old, clean and free from oil and grease. Remove all mould and mildew. The surface may be dry or slightly damp.

Painted surfaces
Remove as much of the existing paint as possible. Clean and abrade any remaining coating. Take special precautions with pre 1960’s paints, since these may contain lead.

Apply It
You’ll need to apply two coats; the first coat primes and the second provides the damp proofing.
Allow 4 hours before you apply a second coat.

It dries to a wipe clean finish which will resist mould growth.

Damp Stop 3 in 1 Damp Treatment can be overcoated in 14 days, but please be aware that this will impair its mould resistance properties.
