Description
This easy-to-apply resin gives a smart semi-gloss finish, whilst binding together the sand grains in the joints. This actually helps to strengthen the paving and also slows down the growth of weeds in the joints between the pavers, so your drive or patio will stay in better condition and you won't break your back weeding it.

In addition if you get oil spills from a vehicle it can be easily wiped clean.

It is so easy to apply too. Once you've got rid of any weeds and the surface is clean you simply apply Block Seal with a roller and maybe a brush for the edges and in about 4 hours it's dry.

NB: This product needs to be applied in dry weather as the sand in the joints should not be wet when you apply Block Seal as this will affect the product's ability to bind the sand together. It is therefore best to use in spring, summer or early autumn.

Coverage approx. 15m² (161 sq ft) per coat per 5 litre (1 gallon) pack, depending on the porosity of the pavers, block size and joint width. One coat is usually sufficient.

This is the kind of job that it is really easy to put off but when you've done it you'll be really pleased you did as your block paving will look really smart.

Preparation & Application
Prepare It
Ensure that the surface to be worked on is clean, dry and free from dirt, dust, grease and other contaminants. If you are washing the area first then allow it to dry thoroughly before applying Block Seal.

If you have moss, algae or other fungi then it should be treated with a suitable algicide or fungicide.

To ensure the best possible finish, the joints in between the blocks should be filled with clean and dry compacted sand up to the bottom on the chamfer.

Apply It
Apply in temperatures above 10°C and when rain is not expected for at least 24 hours.

Apply Block Seal sparingly with a brush or roller. Don’t allow the product to gather in the joints or settle on the blocks.

Only take as much product as you need for a working quantity and re-seal the tin to stop moisture vapour getting to the mixture.
